Need a House
Of course, you'll need a suitable house to host in. Somewhere spacious, convenient, and inviting.
Need Insurance
If you are selling anything and marketing an event under your business name, it's critical to at least have liability insurance. Call a local insurance agent, and you may be surprised how affordable your options are. State Farm is the #1 rated small business insurer.
Need a Theme
It helps having a central theme or core concept for the show. Use it to guide your production and vision. This recent show of ours was fall and Halloween themed.
Need a Setup
Do you have a tent for outdoors? Seating? Organization and supplies for your craft display?
Need Crafts
What do you make? How much can you make? What are the supplies needed, crafting timeline, budget, etc.?
Need Activities
Take an opportunity to teach your guests how to make something. We made paper stars and bows at our recent event.
Bring craft supplies for them to use and take home. If you need to purchase extra supplies, you can consider charging a small ticket fee for the event.
Need a Network
Now, you need attendees! Create an event invite for your friends and family. Include your branding. Canva is an excellent app to edit graphic art in.
If you don't have many connections, plan your show on the dates of local festivals and market to through-traffic for business.
